QUANTUM IMPACT 2021
“As Canada and the world continue to grapple with the repercussions of the global pandemic, IQC at the University of Waterloo has a unique role to play in building back in a post-pandemic world.”
Vivek Goel, University of Waterloo President and Vice-Chancellor
Quantum technologies, like all great innovations, are born out of the instinctive sense of curiosity that drives us as humans. We are curious to learn about the world around us. As we grow our understanding, we harness our knowledge to build tools that transform society, and then use those tools to discover new properties of nature which allow us to start the cycle all over again.
At the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), we are exploring how we can harness the immense power of the quantum world.
Quantum technologies are not just an incremental step. They are a transformational step — a revolution that will impact our world.
