BUILDING CAREERS AND COMMUNITY
Every term, Co-operative and Experiential Education supports co-op students through a variety of programs, like the Co-op for Community program. This donor-funded initiative creates meaningful co-op jobs for Waterloo students at local charities affiliated with the United Way Waterloo Region Communities.
Co-op allows me to have meaningful, real-world experiences using what I have learned in the classroom. I can confidently say that I’m still feeling the benefits, impacts and growth of that co-op experience, even though it ended many months ago. These are opportunities that I only saw being possible at Waterloo.

NURTURING THE WELLNESS OF
TOMORROW’S LEADERS
Finding decent housing, eating healthy, getting enough sleep, maintaining social connections and finding a co-op placement puts a lot on one’s plate when funds are thin. This is why student wellness has become a key focus of the University of Waterloo Alumni Council. For the last two years, the UWaterloo Alumni Council has served as Challenge Champions for Giving Tuesday in support of the Student Wellness Fund.
