YOU FUEL OUR SEARCH
FOR SOLUTIONS
Thanks to the generosity of donors like you, the University of Waterloo is generating the knowledge, technology and talent needed to build a better future.
In this report, read how donor support allows students to explore academic and extracurricular activities that develop their problem-solving and leadership skills. How it provides co-op terms where students work on the front lines to tackle challenges from homelessness to climate change. How it helps turn ideas into viable businesses, contributing to more equitable and resilient economies. And how it fuels interdisciplinary research to better understand and find answers to the numerous crises facing our world.
Thank you for investing in our mission to create meaningful impact, locally and globally. Together, we are sparking ideas, making discoveries and finding solutions that will create a better tomorrow for us all.
Nenone Donaldson, Vice-President, Advancement University of Waterloo
The University of Waterloo was built to solve problems – we were founded, in part, as a response to industry challenges. Over the years, we developed globally recognized strengths in research, experiential education and entrepreneurship. We are now applying these strengths to some of the world’s most complex issues and developing solutions that cut across society, health, the environment, technology and the economy.
Donor support is vital in enabling this work. Your gift provides essential resources to our students, faculty and researchers that nurture interdisciplinary collaboration and an environment where discovery, innovation and creativity thrive.
Thank you for your investment in Waterloo. With your help, we are building a healthier, more equitable and sustainable future for humanity and our planet.

The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
