MULTIPLY REAL-WORLD LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

MULTIPLY REAL-WORLD LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

TOGETHER, WE WILL PROVIDE THE EXPERIENCES THAT BUILD CONFIDENT, RESILIENT BUSINESS STRATEGISTS.

To lead in the next era of business, young professionals need to be adaptable, resilient and quick to integrate ideas. By expanding our hands-on approach to learning, we will ensure that our students graduate with those distinguishing qualities.

Co-operative education sets our graduates apart as industry-ready professionals. We are known for leading the world in work-integrated learning, and for raising the standards of education through our relationships with industry partners. We will draw on those relationships to equip our students with the latest industry insights as we develop new courses, reimagine case studies, revise student assessments and provide additional support for faculty and students. These changes will align directly with CPA and CFA standards to ensure that students continue to benefit from a full selection of courses required for their professional designation.

In the classroom, we will expand our use of problem- and team-based learning to prepare students to thrive in the dynamic environments that characterize new and evolving fields. Through this approach, students will acquire insights into industry problems while developing their confidence, collaboration skills and creativity.

Growing our Student Investment Fund and Student Venture Fund will further enhance our students’ business acumen. Opportunities to invest real money in existing companies — on the stock market or as venture capital — will give students experience making decisions with incomplete information, enabling them to provide leadership-level insight years ahead of their peers from other institutions.

To create real-world learning opportunities like these, you can direct your support to the following areas:

Scholarships and awards to eliminate barriers to education

Extra-curricular activities like the Student Investment Fund and the Student Venture Fund

Student meetings – in person and virtual – with international business leaders

Outreach programs for high school students
